   Empowering Ourselves, Empowering Our Children A Course Designed for Parents, Teachers, Health Practitioners & Counselors Research shows that emotions as well as our beliefs play a major role in our health and happiness. In this class, you will learn simple techniques that have been found to reduce anxiety, grief, and frustration as well as many other unpleasant emotions. These techniques balance emotional states while also activating one’s cognitive abilities; thereby helping people of all ages reduce stress and anxiety, increase concentration, confidence and esteem. These techniques have been taught in the western world since the mid 80's, however are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine, which is thousands of years old. These methods are so simple they can easily be taught to children. They can enhance a child’s learning potential without the use of medication, are inexpensive to learn and are time efficient. They are great brain sharpening and soothing exercises and have been called the “best brain and body activators” of all time. They are being used successfully with children with ADD/ADHD, learning disabilities, test anxiety and social and peer related issues. In this course, students will learn how to use simple balancing techniques that take only take a few minutes to apply. Since they work best when used with consistency, families and teachers are incorporating them into their daily routine and curriculum. They can be used to start or finish a day, done during transitions between activities or added during to provide movement to an otherwise sedentary day. In this eight-week course, you will learn how to apply: · Emotional Freedom Technique · Energy Balancing Techniques · Body/Mind Refocusing Technques Anya’s mission is to assist others in improving the quality of their lives through teaching emotional self-management, creative and focused thinking and body/brain balancing techniques. Her vision is that children all over the world will learn energy balancing as early and routinely as they learn how to tie their shoes. Thursday Evenings 6-7:30 p.m. 8 weeks (Beginning Date TBA)
